Significant growth seen at ProPak and BevTek China 2011
Shanghai, 12h July 2011 – The relentless growth of the Chinese economy fueling more and more demand for packaged products is reflected by the increased size of this year’s ProPak and China BevTek exhibitions. The 17th edition of ProPak China , for processing and packaging technology and the 4th edition of China BevTek, for brewing, beverage and liquid engineering, will take place from 13-15 July at Shanghai New International Expo Centre, Pudong. Over just three days visitors to these exhibitions will have the opportunity to see a wide range of processing and packaging technology, ideas and solutions for all industries from food, beverages, dairy, confectionary/snacks, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, FMCG goods, electronics and industrial manufacturing.
A unique feature of ProPak China is the number of international companies participating. In addition to a record number of individual companies joining this year, ProPak China 2011 is once again the only packaging industry event in the country to win the support of packaging associations from around the world and pavilions of their country’s leading companies, including Germany, Japan, Korea, Taiwan Region, UK, and North America. According to the organisers, the German pavilion with 17 companies is the largest international country participation this year.
From China the presence of the country’s leading companies supporting this event ensures the importance of ProPak for the packaging industry. In particular “Strategic Partners” with large stands this year include Soontrue; Shanghai Macwell; Youngsun; Beijing Macwell; Fumach; JOYEA; Lehui; Eiahe; Newamstar; Precise and TCP.

Many of these visitors have taken advantage of the free Business Matching Programme ( BMP) we offer. Whereby buyers tell us the products they are looking for and we set up meetings for them with appropriate exhibitors throughout the 3 days of the show. As many Chinese brand names are not known overseas the BMP offers a valuable service that saves visitors a considerable amount of time at the show”.
More than 80% of total visitors attending ProPak and China BevTek will come from mainland China. Pre-registration from Chinese visitors is also significantly up on last year according to Ms Renee Lu. Provincial delegations are confirmed to visit ProPak from Beijing; Guangzhou; Heilongjiang; Jiangsu; Liaoning; Shandong; Shenzhen; Shanghai and Zhejiang;.
